Now let's start decorating with various small items. In the process of creating an amulet, you must constantly think about the person for whom you are making it, keep his image in front of your mind, feel his energy, mood, character, needs, so that the amulet you made can really protect from many troubles and misfortunes. You can not make amulets for yourself. The strongest amulets are those that are made for you by your hard-earned relatives: father, mother, brother, children. Amulets mutually created by the spouses also have great power.

  1. You cannot create an amulet with your own hands. In order for it to work, you need to accept it as a gift from a person who made it sincerely and from a pure heart, in no case obeying an order.
  2. Talismans donated by close relatives or spouses with whom good trusting relationships have been established and the possibility of hostility are excluded have special power.
  3. The material matters: it must be selected for each person personally. It happens that those materials that fit one, can harm others, and vice versa.
  4. When creating a talisman, you need to think about the person for whom it is intended, it is important to feel his energy and character in order to strengthen the connection between the talisman and its owner.

Many learn to make a horseshoe with their own hands at master classes, because this is an excellent gift for loved ones: inexpensive, with a soul, a pleasant memory. Despite all the subtleties of creation and spiritual value, everyone can make such a talisman.

How to choose a material?

As already mentioned, the material depends on the person to whom the amulet is intended. To understand what is suitable in this case, it is necessary to visualize a person, remember the sensations that arise when communicating with him, and make associations.

Thus, in the head there will be an idea of what kind of material is "his". This choice will be based on feelings, but most likely it will be true, because close people first of all feel, and do not form a rational opinion about them.

Usually a fabric is used that is filled with something. The content may have some meaning, such as:

  • beans - prosperity
  • red pepper - love
  • nuts - mind
  • herbs - health
  • seeds - family happiness
  • poppy - fulfillment of desires
  • coins - success

This list is not limited to possible materials, only the most popular ones are listed here. They can not only fill the amulet, but also decorate it.

You can also make not a fabric horseshoe, but from plywood, wood and any other materials at hand that can keep the appropriate shape.

How to do?

First you need to cut out two shapes according to the template: the front side and the back. It should be noted that subsequently they must be fastened, which means that it is worth leaving a place for fixation.

If the amulet is not planned to be voluminous, then only one form needs to be made - the base. Then it must be pasted over with a rope, which will form a loop at the top, with the help of which the horseshoe can be hung.

It is better to tie it with a chamomile knot, which symbolizes fidelity, in addition, it closes the carnation on which the talisman will hang.

Then the horseshoe must be painted, pasted over with decorations, symbols. There are no specific requirements, everything is done according to the taste of the creator.

If a fabric amulet is created, then we can talk about creating a horseshoe pillow with your own hands. The two bases are sewn together, but a gap remains through which the amulet is stuffed. Inside can be any of the above materials, as well as others.

If a real decorative pillow is planned, then it is worth stuffing it with foam rubber or cotton wool. You can decorate it with embroidery, sewn-on curly elements, beads and many other things that come to mind and will look harmonious and hold firmly.

Bakery

You can make a horseshoe out of puff pastry. It will not be eaten like other baked goods, but will be created the same way. Need a special puff pastry and the corresponding form.

Then the finished product can be painted or decorative elements from the same test can be added to it.

So, making a horseshoe-amulet with your own hands is quite simple, you just need to have some perseverance and have the necessary materials at hand. Such a gift will delight loved ones, as it simultaneously shows concern and a wish for blessings and is a pretty home decoration, reminiscent of the giver.

How to hang

When answering the question of how to properly hang a horseshoe at home, each nation has its own opinion on this matter. But all opinions agree on one thing - this amulet can simultaneously absorb negative energy and create a positive effect on the environment.

People living in the East, in European countries, as well as in Latin America, believe that this amulet should be hung upside down so that happiness flows directly onto the owner of the house. But in Ireland, England, horseshoes, on the contrary, are hung upside down so that happiness flows from it. It is necessary to hang the talisman in such a way that it can be reached by hand, replenishing or taking the accumulated wealth.

The inhabitants of Mexico nail the talisman as high as possible so that it cannot be touched. At the same time, they are decorated with the faces of saints and various satin ribbons. Residents of Italy, on the contrary, hang horseshoes in such a way that guests can touch them when entering the house.

In ancient Rus', the amulet was hung on the ceiling above the front door to the house. If the talisman hung with branches down, then evil bypassed the house, and if the horseshoe hung with branches up, it symbolized the house - “a full bowl”.

(from the book by Angela Sheptuli "Do-it-yourself home amulets")
Further, in the works, I will not comment on what which element stands for and symbolizes.
Let's take a horseshoe.
The base is made of plywood, but corrugated cardboard glued in 2 layers is also quite suitable. "Horns" we make out at our discretion. I wrapped it with linen twine. It has a fairly even thread, a beautiful color.

1. Consider it in detail. This is how the "top" of a horseshoe looks like. Leaves and chamomile well mask the carnation on which the amulet hangs. A pair of woven bast shoes. In one of them is a nest, a chicken, and in the other a coin. Everything is decorated with bright greenery.

2. We sew three bags. One is bigger and two are smaller. The size is arbitrary. We make faces. If it is not possible to buy ready-made eyes, then you can use buttons painted under the eyes. We make a beard from tow (linen). "Hats" of bags We fill with nuts, corn, beans, peas, lentils, seeds, etc. We also decorate with greens.

3. This is what the right side of the horseshoe looks like.

4. This is the left side. For work it is more convenient to use a thermal gun and transparent rods to it. Then the work goes fast. You can use glue ("Dragon", "Titan"), but then you have to wait longer. Until dry...

5. Big bag closer. Ready eyes, bean nose, tow mustache/beard. The mouse is a special item. The mice are thrifty, everything is pulled into the house. By planting this animal in the amulet, we thereby wish the owners to be thrifty, thrifty, so that everything is brought into the house, and not vice versa! We fill the “hat” with large seeds: hazelnuts, beans, pumpkin seeds, sunflower seeds. Decorate with small greens. We cover with 1-2 layers of colorless varnish. It will shine, less bugs will "look" there.

6. This is a small pouch on the right side. For him, we take lentils of different colors. We also treat with varnish.

7. This pouch is located on the right. We stuff his "hat" with corn. We process varnish in the same way. We fill all the voids between the bags (each of them can be given a name) with greens and leaves.

8. This is how the "caps" of the bags look like. Between the grains and nuts we insert small leaves, blades of grass. The horseshoe is ready. And a souvenir, and a charm! How does one perceive.

9. This horseshoe is very similar to its predecessor. Here, the ribs of the horseshoe are pasted over with a braid of twine. This is especially convenient if the horseshoe is made of corrugated cardboard. Everything closes on the sides, beautifully, neatly and nothing unnecessary is visible to the eye.

10. Here the "top" is decorated with small sunflowers. In the bast shoes there is also a coin and a nest, only the eggs are white, the hen is of a different color.

11. Ladybug is a must!!! You can plant birds, if any.

12. I apologize for the quality of the photo. This horseshoe is completely molded from salt dough. Its size is quite large (30*40cm). Decorated with fruit garland. Such a horseshoe is more suitable for a talisman, since only natural materials were used for its manufacture: flour, water, salt (small "Extra"). You can paint it, as in the photo, or you can just bake it in the oven until golden brown, open it with varnish ... It feels like it's made of wood! You need to hang a horseshoe with the "horns" up so that they form a "bowl".

13.

14.

15.

16. Valya Kislaya decorated a wooden horseshoe with burlap.

17.

18. This work was done by Ninika Tatiana. Based on corrugated board. "Horns" are processed with hemp twine. It is coarser than linen, looks like a thin vine.

19. Chugaeva Nastya decorated the work in her own way. The material (base) is the same.

20. And this is another idea. If there is nothing at hand but linen tow, but you still want to make a horseshoe, Nastya Chugaeva suggests ... Weave a braid out of tow, thicker. Roll up the bowl, pull off the "horns" with a thin braid of twine, glue the bottom (on the reverse side) with cardboard and decorate to your taste and possibilities. It turns out very original.

21. And this is a restoration. Somehow the girls brought us a charm eaten by bugs. The new one must have been beautiful. But the dust settled on dried fruits, and then the worm bugs did not take long to wait. We have removed all this "unhealthy feast". Cleaned up for a few days! Carefully varnished. The chalk house was immediately transformed. And then they decorated it with nuts, seeds, models. Somehow they gave me a cute garden scarecrow, so we put it behind the wattle fence. As there was! Instead of a garbage dump, the souvenir has found a second life.

The centuries-old history of culture is inextricably
associated with folk beliefs and signs. They came to us from time immemorial
as a memory of our ancestors. Folk customs and beliefs have changed over time along with changes in culture.
people.

For thousands of years, not a single house on
Rus' did not do without amulets. Miniature images of an ax, a bell,
spoons, as well as ordinary items
household items: a broom, bast shoes, a poker, etc. were widely used in
rituals.

People believed that amulets protect them from
sickness," evil eye”, natural disasters and various misfortunes. In a talisman
a man put his soul, his love and warmth.

Changed life, utensils, housing and others
aspects of life. But the desire to save your home from troubles and
adversity.

People believed that in each
there lives a brownie in the house, who needs to be appeased so that he does not get angry and does not harm
the inhabitants of the house. So they made a charm with their own hands - a wattle fence, a braid -
domovushku, brownie, broom, bast shoes and much more.

Amulets served not only to create heat
and comfort in the house, but also used as souvenirs to decorate the house and in
the form of a gift.

By tradition, only natural material is used in amulets. I use both natural and artificial materials in my works. Dry fruits, berries quickly become unusable, they eat all sorts of worms, moths ... Therefore, I replace them with dummies. I make souvenirs, but with the symbols of the amulet. Original, durable and beautiful.
